About Lindsey
For
as long as she can remember, Lindsey Graham knew that God had
given her a musical gift. Born and raised in Hartford, Kentucky,
she was not sure how she would use her gift.
As time progressed, she felt a calling from the Lord to
sing Christian music. Always
encouraged and supported by her parents to do what she wanted to
do, Lindsey is confident in her call to sing.
As
part of a musical family, Lindsey sang in a trio with her mother
and father. The family traveled regionally to sing revivals and
homecomings at various churches. Her father, a music minister,
also sang in a mixed voice quartet.
Lindsey would travel with him to sing during the
group’s intermissions. As
she grew older, Lindsey was often featured singing the national
anthem for local and regional sports activities and shared in
various community events.
After
entering college at Belmont University in Nashville, TN, singing
became a focal point for Lindsey.
Through Belmont, she studied commercial voice with an
emphasis in performance. After
studying classically for two years and commercially for two
years, Lindsey received a Bachelor of Music degree in May of
2005.
While
enrolled at Belmont University, Lindsey was part of an eighteen
voice female ensemble, Session. With this group, she was able to
arrange one of their songs and do solo work as well.
Also through Belmont, Lindsey became a member of the Pi
Kappa Lambda National Music Honor Society, based on GPA as well
as recommendation from staff members.
Singing
and writing Christian music is extremely vital to Lindsey as she
loves to share music with others, realizing that God is working
through her. Her
ambition is, “to be able to reach people for God.” She seeks to encourage and uplift others through her music.
Her main goal is to travel and sing, ministering to
people. She would like to reach as many as God would allow.
With
her bubbly personality and positive attitude, Lindsey has a
voice that is powerful and full of clarity. She has an extremely
warm sound that includes a distinct southern inflection.
With an exceptionally inviting quality to her voice, the
lyrics are easily understood by her audience.
One
of Lindsey’s main influences is her family.
In addition to her parents, Lindsey’s grandfather was a
significant inspiration of music in her life.
Her other influences include Charlotte Ritchie, Jeff and
Sherri Easter, and The Crabb Family. Because
she is from the same area as The Crabb Family, she has had the
opportunity to watch the group develop from the very beginning
of their career. She
was privileged with the opportunity to open for them during one
of their gospel concerts held at the Executive Inn of Owensboro,
KY. Lindsey recently was given the opportunity to open for
premier gospel group, Ernie Haase & Signature Sound in
Naples, Florida.
Lindsey
continues to sing in churches as well as serve in the music
ministry of First Baptist Church Naples in Naples, Florida. She
is available for, but not limited to church services and events,
community events, revivals, local organization meetings and
socials, school functions, seminars, and weddings.
